Lisa Gluskin Stonestreet is a writer and editor in the San Francisco Bay Area. As principal of Ampersand Editorial Services, she works with clients in consulting, technology, journalism, and print and Web design. Ampersand's services range from proofreading to developmental editing, copywriting to Web site consulting. In addition, Lisa is an experienced editing consultant and has helped columnists, authors, and academic writers bring their visions to the page. Before founding Ampersand, Lisa served as editor of Fashion Internet, one of the Web's first online magazines, and as editor and publisher of And, a Bay Area arts quarterly. She has written extensively on business, graphic design, and information architecture; her book The Defining Factor: Using Design to Strengthen Your Business and Your Brand, with coauthor Jeff Zwerner, is forthcoming from New Riders/AIGA Books. Lisa earned a B.A. from Yale University in 1990. In previous lives, she has worked as a magazine and Web site editor, graphic designer, gift wrapper, film-studio gofer, cocktail waitress, and teacher of business and creative writing.
